Who would have picked Eli Roth for a feminist crusader?

The poster for ‘The Last Exorcism’ was banned by the British Advertising Standards Commission last week. A spokesperson was quoted as saying that the image of a young girl, covered in blood and contorted backward, is ‘likely to upset children’.

In response, Roth stated, “I do wonder why these people complaining about protecting their children seemingly have no problem with the ubiquitous tabloids which airbrush celebrities to unhealthily skinny or fat, often resulting eating disorders in many young girls. Then again, there are worse things that can happen to a horror film than to have a controversy over the poster being too disturbing.”

Go figure, huh?
